YOUNG PEOPLE’S THEATER WORKSHOP

We are excited to present this summer education programming, but it is dependent on arriving at a moment where gatherings of various sizes are deemed safe by the CDC, Minnesota Department of Health and you. Classes taking place are also dependent on enrollment – so please register! If for any reason classes cannot take place as scheduled, we will work with you to offer an online option, reschedule the program or refund you in full.

SESSION II PERFORMANCE

Join us online at 2 p.m. Friday, July 31 to find out how Young People’s Theater Workshop session II interpreted the theme “Branching Out.” The performance will be a series of original, prerecorded plays from the virtual pioneers of YPTW session II. Each new play will become available to view on YouTube at 2:15 p.m. (Orange Group) and 2:45 p.m. (Teal Group) after a welcome from at 2 p.m. – like a live production! Check back here, on Facebook page or YouTube channel Friday to enjoy the show!

ABOUT YPTW

Young People’s Theater Workshop (often referred to as YPTW) is in its 30th year of educational theater programming. YPTW offers experiences in creative drama and performance. Starting with a given theme, each age group works with a director to create, rehearse and perform an original script. These unique scripts meld together for a fun and exceptional show. Most mornings, students also attend theater arts and dance classes. Past Young People’s Theater Workshops have included such themes as Making Waves, Something Wicked this Way Comes, Passages and Break Down the Wall(s). The Young People’s Theater Workshop culminates with performances for the public. YPTW is a tuition based educational theater program.
