You won’t find clashing sibling rivalry in the smooth tones of the Cactus Blossoms. Instead, these brothers blend their voices in a perfect harmony that will have you swaying along. Originally from Minneapolis, brothers Page Burkum and Jack Torrey are bringing their sound to Northfield. So grab someone special and get ready to tap your feet and clap your hands to the smooth sounds of the Cactus Blossoms.
Opening for the Cactus Blossoms is Northfield resident, Jon Manners. Playing since ’57, Jon Manners recorded with Rolling Stones impresario/producer Andrew Loog Oldham in the early ’70s. Now living in Northfield, he gigs solo in Southern and Central Minnesota. “Jon Manners’ sound is unmistakable, combining the bounce of funk, the passion of soul, the thoughtfulness of jazz, the story telling of folk and the joy of rock ‘n roll.” –Rich Larson, KYMN Radio 95.1
