Join us for our second community conversation, part of the Guild’s “Artist Disabling Assumptions” retrospective on the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The conversation will feature a panel of artists, including painter Annie Young, dancer Michael Cohn, and narrative performing artist Alison Bergblom Johnson, as they discuss their journeys towards becoming artists, the extent to which their disability plays a role in their creative process, and what other opportunities and challenges they’ve faced.
The event is free and open to the public, and is co-sponsored with St. Olaf’s Academic Support Center/Disability and Access Office.
Access accommodations can be requested by calling 507-645-8877.
This event is the second community conversation in the Arts Guild’s “Artists Disabling Assumptions” retrospective that celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act and investigates its legacy in our lives.
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
