Folklórico Advanced
Folklórico Advanced: In this 90-minute class, students will polish and expand their skills in footwork, ensemble, and choreography as they learn dances from Jalisco and other Mexican states. Folklórico Advanced is taught by Ana Baez Fredrickson in Spanish and English and is open to experienced students ages 12 and up with the permission of the instructor. The students in the Advanced class are expected to provide their own shoes and practice skirts as needed. New students will be accepted October 3 and 10, and then again in January. Saturday mornings, 10:00 am to 11:30 am. 8 sessions: Oct. 3, 10, 24, 31; Nov. 7, 14, 21; Dec. 5. $12 each class, collected at class.

Folklórico Beginner and Intermediate
Folklórico Intermediate: In this multi-generational, multi-level class, students will develop skills in footwork and ensemble as they learn dances from Jalisco and other Mexican states. Shoes and costumes will be provided on loan for all children, as well as practice skirts for girls. Adults are expected to provide their own shoes and skirts as needed. Folklórico Intermediate is taught by Ana Baez Fredrickson in Spanish and English. Dancers ages 8 and up are welcome–no prior experience necessary! New students will be accepted throughout October, and then again in January. Saturday mornings, 10:00 am to 10:45 pm. 8 sessions: Oct. 3, 10, 24, 31; Nov. 7, 14, 21; Dec. 5. $7 each class, collected at class.
Introduction to Folklórico: In this multi-generational, multi-level class, students will be introduced to the basics of traditional Mexican Folklórico dance as they learn simple dances from Jalisco and other Mexican states. Shoes and costumes will be provided on loan for all children, as well as practice skirts for girls. Adults are expected to provide their own shoes and skirts as needed. Introduction to Folklórico is taught by Ana Baez Fredrickson in Spanish and English. While this class is intended for young students ages 4 to 7, dancers of all ages are welcome–no prior experience necessary! New students will be accepted throughout October, and then again in January. Saturday mornings, 10:00 am to 10:30 pm. 8 sessions: Oct. 3, 10, 24, 31; Nov. 7, 14, 21; Dec. 5. $5 each class, collected at class.

Zumba
Wake yourself up with this easy-to-follow dance workout that boosts your body from top to bottom! Led by Victoria Nolasco, Zumba improves cardiovascular health, tones and builds strong bones and muscles, and relieves stress. It’s also a great way to engage in positive social interaction with others!

Dirigido por Victoria Nolasco, Zumba mejora la salud cardiovascular, tonifica y desarrolla huesos y músculos fuertes y alivia el estrés. ¡También es una excelente manera de participar en una interacción social positiva con los demás!
