by Michael Perry with music by S. Carey.  Adapted from the book Population 485: Meeting Your Neighbors One Siren at a Time.

September 21 – September 30, 2018

Meeting your neighbors one siren at a time!  Based on Perry’s bestselling book by the same title, this newly released stage version celebrates Middle America and the understanding that one must give of themselves to truly live and be a part of a community. The book and play center on the conscientious members of the volunteer fire department and the community relationships they build. This is a sometimes comic, sometimes heartbreaking bestselling memoir of life and death.  We are one of the first community theaters to produce this brilliant stage adaptation.

Directed by Mishia Edwards

Mishia Edwards’ previous work with the Guild include directing Little Women The Musical, Proof, The Merry Wives of Windsor, Crimes of The Heart, Little Shop of Horrors, It’s a Wonderful Life, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and, most recently God Girl.  Edwards also works with The Chameleon Theatre and directs St. Olaf College’s Summer Theatre Camp.
