First Fridays are a popular celebration in many communities–from Phoenix to Boston to Kansas City. The Northfield Downtown Development Corporation is bringing this monthly art experience to Downtown Northfield, beginning June 1, 2018! The fun will continue throughout the year on the first Friday of each month from 5-9 pm.

From 5-6:30 pm, please experience a special performance in our Upstairs Studio:
- Carleton’s Artist-In-Residence, Fall 2018 – Multidisciplinary Artist, 2Fik leading “Get your heels, boys!!” This High He High Heels performance, is a workshop where men will learn and perform a military march in heels. Sign up to participate by October 26 (email megan@northfieldartsguild.org) or show up to watch Friday November 2, at 5 pm at the Northfield Arts Guild. The march will continue to the Northfield Public Library and end at the Weitz Center for Creativity, coinciding with a Closing Reception for 2Fik’s exhibition Gear Shifts.
From 5-9 pm, the Northfield Arts Guild will feature:
- Fine Craft Collective Opening Reception in our Main Gallery featuring 24 artisans
- Grow with the Guild in ourUp Galleryan exhibition featuring artwork created by adult and youth students who have recently taken a Guild class.
