Joyce Francis
Joyce Francis is a paper artist and calligrapher living in Northfield, Minnesota. She started studying calligraphy in the mid-1970s. A maniac for color, she has a lifetime love of paper, ink, and letters. Over the years her work has expanded beyond calligraphy into development of a line of cards and prints featuring her paper collage artwork, Zentangle-inspired cards, and cards using her current artwork. Her mission is to bring more color into her and other’s lives.
“I feel strongly that we need art and color in our lives. The current times are too often dark, heavy, confusing, and depressing. Art offers a bit of color and light into these days. I believe we need to create and maintain joy in our lives. Even a little bit of art will feed that joy and encourage us along our way.”
