Clay Fantastique! Session 1
This course is for beginners and focuses on learning and practicing the basic concepts and techniques of wheel throwing.
Students will polish and expand their skills in footwork, ensemble and choreography as they learn new dances from Mexico's Baile Folklorico tradition.
Discover, practice and develop the basics of wheel-throwing, including but not limited to throwing cylinders bowls and plates, trimming, and adding handles.
Students will polish and expand their skills in footwork, ensemble and choreography as they learn new dances from Mexico's Baile Folklorico tradition.
In this multi-generational class, students will further develop their skills in footwork and ensemble as they learn and polish the dances in the standard repertory of Baile Folklorico.
Students will develop body awareness, alignment and posture while learning fun dances from Jalisco & other regions of Mexico.

This educational journey is designed to equip young individuals with the understanding of the media's history and evolution and to engage them in visualizing its future potential.

This class explores the hand building techniques of pinch, coil (plus coil variations), use of the clay extruder, and simple slab techniques as well as more complex pieces like covered boxes.
