Young People’s Theater Workshop (often referred to as YPTW) is in its 35th year of educational theater programming! YPTW offers experiences in creative drama and performance. Starting with a given theme, each age group works with a director to create, rehearse and perform an original script. These unique scripts meld together for a fun and exceptional show. Most mornings, students also attend theater arts and dance classes. Past Young People’s Theater Workshops have included such themes as Making Waves, Something Wicked this Way Comes, Passages and Break Down the Wall(s). The Young People’s Theater Workshop culminates with performances for the public. YPTW is a tuition based educational theater program.
WHO?
YPTW is open to students entering grades 3-12. Students are placed in groups up to 14 students according to their age. All students come together for morning and end-of-day meetings.
Who will be working with the students? Beth Breiland will manage and lead the program. Other YPTW staff includes theater artists, classroom teachers and highly-qualified theater majors.
WHEN?

Performances will be held during the third week of each session of the program, with two evening performances the last week, and one morning performance on the final day. More information on the presentation of these performances will be coming.
