Art Classes
At the Northfield Arts Guild, we offer a diverse range of visual art classes to inspire creativity and enhance skills for all levels, for which you can pre-register. Whether you are exploring the world of ceramics, figure drawing, canvas making, or painting in our guided sessions or enjoying the freedom to create in our open studio sessions, we provide the space, equipment, and guidance to support your artistic journey. There are classes for everyone at any level of experience and age!
Collage Club
Starts June 18th, and occurs every third Thursday of the month
Scissors, ModPodge, brushes, and various papers and magazines provided. Blank cards and wood surfaces will be offered for sale. Bring your own supplies or use those offered. Note that The Sketchy Artist has archival glue sticks for sale. Come enjoy togetherness and make some art happen.

Mosaic Art Class
Saturday August 15th, 4-7PM
Sunday October 4th, 12:30PM-3:30PM

Caron is a public artist from Minnesota specializing in mosaic art, a love that began more than a decade ago. Caron’s most recognized artistic accomplishment thus far has been in the design partnership with Mercedes Austin of two 10ft mosaic murals at the main terminal of the Minneapolis, St. Paul International Airport.
Participants will make a mosaic wall panel that they design using the skills acquired in the class!
Caron is inspired by the light that shines within us, and the desire to connect communities through art.

Watercolor Class: Color Theory 1
Saturday, September 5th, 1-4PM
Students will learn about primary, secondary, and tertiary colors as well as how complimentary colors work. Students will paint a lemon using the knowledge and skills they’ve learned in the course.

Paint a beautiful landscape using watercolor!
This class will focus on using 2 colors (Payne’s Grey and Vermillion) to create two different kinds of landscape using a variety of techniques.

Watercolor Class: Polar Bears Beneath the Aurora Borealis

Join us for a relaxing watercolor class as we paint majestic polar bears beneath the glowing Aurora Borealis. Learn simple watercolor techniques to create a beautiful winter landscape filled with vibrant northern lights, snowy textures, and charming wildlife. This class is perfect for beginners and experienced painters alike—leave with a unique seasonal masterpiece and new watercolor skills.
