The Guild’s Visual Arts Program offers multiple annual opportunities for artists to exhibit and sell their works and advance their careers –  and for audiences to engage with art and artists from our region.

Exhibitions
Our Visual Arts program presents a wide variety of exhibitions featuring works by emerging and established regional artists in our Main Gallery and Up Gallery in our downtown building and at five satellite galleries located throughout Northfield. Exhibitions include juried and invitational exhibitions, exhibitions of student enrolled in area schools and colleges, and an annual holiday presentation of regional Fine Craft Collective artists.

Riverfront Fine Arts Festival

Each September the Guild presents our arts festival along the banks of the beautiful Cannon River in downtown Northfield, where regional artists and craftspeople sell their work. Our festival is held in conjunction with the Defeat of Jesse James Days – the city’s busiest time of year when over 200,000 people come to Northfield over a single weekend.

Guild Gift Shop
Our gift shop features handmade, unique gifts by of over 100 member artists, including ceramics, jewelry, greeting cards, glasswork, apparel, kitchen tools, framed artworks and so much more. Quarterly rotation means there is always something new!

Artist Professional Development
Our APD program presents free workshops, panel discussions, Lunch and Learns, networking opportunities and more for area artists. As we aim to serve the wider region, we also partner with regional nonprofits to ensure artists have meaningful access to professional development events and activities.
