Artist Statement:
This body of work was created by participants in Creating Community Club. We create art work individually and collaboratively.
Art prompts connections — Connections between artist and artwork, paint and paper. Connections between the viewer and the artwork, the subject, the artist. Connections between two viewers with different perspectives. Connections between artists. Connections within ourselves, to our perspectives, and our experiences.
Each artist connects with different materials, different subject matter, and different processes. We all connect to one another when we create together.
