YPTW 25th Anniversary Celebration a success!
On Thursday, July 30, the Northfield Arts Guild celebrated 25 years of the Young People’s Theater Workshop with an ice cream social and ceremony to honor its two founder, Myrna Johnson and Patsy Dew. In addition to receiving a standing ovation from the crowd, they were also chosen to receive that week’s “Making a Difference Award” from the Healthy Community Initiative. The award was even more meaningful as it was presented by Penny Hillemann, a YPTW parent! Read about Myrna and Patsy’s “Making a Difference” award at the Northfield News.
Also part of the the ceremony was a look back at YPTW through snippets of various performances, brilliantly pieced together by YPTW parent (and video extraordinaire) Paul Hager. Many thanks to him for his time and energy in putting together this amazing look back at YPTW!

YPTW alumni Evan Pak was also photographing the event. Here are some shots he took below!
The YPTW 25th Anniversary Celebration would not have been possible without the generous support of the celebration from Carleton College and Gooters Dough to Go, as well as the celebration committee: Amy and Jariya Goerwitz, Rachel Haider, Alyssa Herzog Melby, Peggy Sheldon, and Valerie Thomas, as well as the many volunteers who helped out during the ice cream social!
