Application – Riverfront Fine Arts Festival

Interested in exhibiting? The online application form is available below. The application deadline for participating in our 2018 festival is May 31, 2018. Applications will not be considered unless booth fee has been paid. The jury will review applications, and artists will be notified via email by June 15, 2018.  If not accepted by the jury, all fees will be refunded within two weeks of notification. Before filling out the application form below you will need to have the following:
* MN Tax ID#
* 5-8 Artwork images (no larger than 8MB)
* 1 Booth/display image (no larger than 8MB)
* Online form of payment

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Open to all professional or emerging artists 18 years of age or older.  All works must be the final product of an original design.

JURIED EVENT
Three professional artists make up the jury for this festival. Excellence in craftsmanship and aesthetic value are central criteria. Additionally, the jury will balance the number of artists included by media.
IMPORTANT DATES

Deadline for submissions:
  Received by 5 pm on Thursday, May 31, 2018 Acceptance notification: Notifications will be emailed by Friday, June 15, 2018.  A packet of information including maps and set-up criteria will be emailed in August.
Cancellations:  There is a no-refund policy after being accepted.  However, exhibitors who cancel before August 10, 2018 will receive a 70% refund only if the reservation can be filled from the waiting list.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS, FOR NEW AND RETURNING ARTISTS
Completed online application:  Received by 5 pm on Thursday, May 31, 2018
Completed online payment of booth fee:  $165 (non-Guild Members) $125 (Guild Members)
MN Tax ID and Certificate of Insurance
Images:  5-8 Artwork Images, 1 Tent/Displays image. Must include examples of all styles of work you will exhibit.

HOSPITALITY:
Festival volunteers will assist with locating booths, set up, and are available to booth sit.  Free coffee, water and snacks are provided throughout the festival for exhibiting artists.  Work may be stored overnight on Saturday in the Arts Guild with load in by 6 pm.
CONDITIONS: This is a“Rain or Shine” event.  Be prepared for inclement weather. Set-up begins at 6:30 am on Saturday, 8 am on Sunday. Professional display equipment and a tent are required. Artists may only exhibit work that is consistent with work submitted in application. A standard 10’ x 10’ tent fits in  the allotted spaces. Ground surfaces can be uneven, and consist of concrete, asphalt or grass (limited amount). Tents must be secured with weights; stakes cannot be used. LOSS: Neither the Northfield Arts Guild, the City of Northfield nor the Defeat of Jesse James, Inc. shall be responsible for any damages, theft, loss or personal injury sustained during the Arts Guild Riverfront Fine  Arts Festival. RIGHTS:  The Northfield Arts Guild reserves the right to remove items not included in the application.
       This activity is made possible in part by grants provided by the MN State Arts Board, Legacy Funds, and the McKnight Foundation.

  • Release and Waiver: For good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, I agree to release, hold harmless, defend and indemnify the Northfield Arts Guild, the Riverfront Fine Arts Festival, The Defeat of Jesse James, Inc., and the City of Northfield, their directors, officers, employees, agents and affiliates, from any and all loss, damage, liability, cost or expense that Northfield Arts Guild, the Riverfront Fine Arts Festival, the Defeat of Jesse James, Inc., or the City of Northfield may incur or suffer as a result of any claim of any kind whatsoever arising out of my participation in the Activity. I agree to allow the Northfield Arts Guild, Riverfront Fine Arts Festival and the City of Northfield the right to photograph me and/or my work during the course of the festival, and to use those photographs for promotional purposes at the discretion of Northfield Arts Guild, the Riverfront Fine Arts Festival, and the City of Northfield. I hereby represent and warrant that I have read this Release and Waiver Form in its entirety and fully understand its contents. I have signed this Release and Waiver Form voluntarily and of my own free will. I hereby verify that I myself have created all the work on display and that I accept the Rules and Regulations regarding participation in the Riverfront Fine Arts Festival.
