Artist Statement:

Hello, I’m a local artist from Northfield, Minnesota.  I am a self-taught artist whose love of nature led me to years of exploring Minnesota rivers, woods and rural countryside in my younger years.
I am awed by the beauty of what God has created!  I give Him the credit for giving me the inspiration to share with you how I see nature through the strokes of my brushes.

I use various mediums to created my original landscapes, water scenes and abandoned Americana paintings.  Acrylic being my favorite.  I also enjoy carving and painting waterfowl birds and duck decoys. When I’m not painting or carving, I can be found playing the congas and bongos, playing Frisbee with my beloved dog Duke, keeping busy in the kitchen creating artisan breads and spending time with my wife, kids and grandkids.
