Winter/Spring 2016

April – Donatello & Leonardo da Vinci = Students of Science and Sculpture

Dates: April 6 & 20

May: Michelangelo & Raphael = Rivals of the Renaissance

We will look at Raphael’s use of one-point perspective as a way to create depth in our own paintings.  Then, we’ll learn about the life and works of Michelangelo before working in one of his most famous mediums: fresco (painting on plaster)!

Skills: painting, drawing, plaster (fresco) painting, gross and fine motor skills
Art concepts: perspective, surface medium, composition

Dates: May 4 & 18
