CVRO:  Latin Inspirations Concert

The Cannon Valley Regional Orchestra (CVRO) presents two performances of “Latin Inspirations,” a concert featuring music and performances by regional Hispanic artists, on Friday, May 18 at 7pm at the Church of St. Dominic,  216 Spring St N, Northfield, and Saturday, May 19 at 4:30pm at the Paradise Center for the Arts 321 Central Ave N, Faribault.

The concert features Manny Laureano, the Minnesota Orchestra’s principal trumpeter, as a guest soloist and premier a commissioned concerto by the acclaimed composer Reinaldo  Moya, who currently serves as Assistant Professor of Composition at Augsburg University. ”Latin Inspirations” will also feature the Northfield Arts Guild’s Baile Folklórico Mexicano dancers and local vocalist Guillermo Calderón. The concert will be performed under the direction of CVRO founder and conductor, Dr. Paul Niemisto.

Advanced sale tickets are $15.00 for adults, $10.00 for students and seniors.  A suggested, “pay what you want” admission is also available at the door, and no one will be turned away because of an inability to pay.
