DESCRIPTION:Join us on April 8 from 7-9 pm to enjoy the closing reception of aTemporal\, the Carleton Educational Assistant and St. Olaf 5th Year Emerging Artist Show.  \n \nEvery year\, a select group of senior art majors are invited to continue their studies at St. Olaf College and Carleton College as part of a 5th-year emerging artist or education assistant program. This exhibition will consist of various pieces created during the duration of their 5th-year experience. This year’s show includes work from St. Olaf Emerging Artists Devin Cuneen\, Marcel Hones\, GH Wood\, and Megan Vikla as well as Carleton Educational Assistant Ari Zuaro.

DESCRIPTION:Dori Freeman’s inimitable signature sound is in peak form on her fourth studio album\, Ten Thousand Roses. Raised among a family of musicians in the Blue Ridge Mountains and hailed by Rolling Stone as “one of the most authentic vocalists to emerge from the hills of southwestern Virginia in recent years\,” she’s a bonafide Appalachian artist\, while simultaneously shattering the archetype by empowering the characters in her songs with personal strength and homegrown wisdom.
