DESCRIPTION:Join us as we get back to enjoy making art at Parkview East! Bring your watercolors (gouache paints)\, or acrylics to paint subjects of your own choosing\, or to follow suggestions by the instructor\, who has taught a similar class for a long time. Riki will address composition\, color use\, and techniques\, while giving gentle critical feedback and also encourage group response. This is a chance to be with your family member and engage in an endorphin producing activity. SUMMARY:WOW Mobile Metal Lab: Cuttlefish Casting
DESCRIPTION:The WOW Mobile Metal Lab and Show\, a city bus turned metal workshop and foundry\, brings the cast metal process to you! In this all hands-on\, creative and exciting class you will carve an original design (or choose from a selection of symbols and imagery) into a cuttlefish bone to create negative space for your two-piece mold. That space is filled with lead-free pewter to create your small sculpture\, pendant\, jewelry\, keychain or charm. You pour the metal into your mold\, do finishing work with hand files/power tools and apply colored inks if desired. Choose from metal/wood/stone bases and jewelry hardware/findings. No experience necessary. Ages 10 and up. Limited to 12 participants. \nCOVID19 Precautions: WOW classes comfortably accommodate distancing for 12 participants\nworking inside/outside of the bus.
