SUMMARY:Open House & Ribbon Cutting at Water Street Studios
DESCRIPTION:Join the Northfield Arts Guild on Thursday\, November 13 from 4 – 8pm to kick-off the holiday shopping season and to learn more from the creative community members who are activating 411 Water Street South into an incubator space for emerging artists\, educators\, community organizers\, and entrepreneurs. \nAt 5:30 pm there will be a ribbon cutting and remarks by Guild director Michael Johnson as well as Northfield artist\, Michael Sweere\, who has been selected to design and fabricate an interior mosaic mural at the city’s new ice arena later this year. Since 2005\, Sweere has created and installed numerous public art mosaic murals for a variety  of clients: airports\, health care facilities\, libraries\, schools and sporting stadiums around the country.
