SUMMARY:First Friday Art Night
DESCRIPTION:First Fridays are a popular celebration in many communities–from Phoenix to Boston to Kansas City. The Northfield Downtown Development Corporation is bringing this monthly art experience to Downtown Northfield\, beginning June 1\, 2018! The fun will continue throughout the year on the first Friday of each month from 5-9 pm.\nJoin us for First Friday Art Night on December 7 (the final FFAN of 2018)!\nThe Guild will feature:\n5-7 pm\n\nAuthors Denny & Karen Vinar signing copies of their book How Did You Find Me…After All These Years? in our lobby.\n\n7-8 pm\n\nPerformances by the North Star Winds chamber ensemble in our upstairs studio.\n\n5-9 pm\n\nMeet the Artists Reception in our Main Gallery featuring 24 artisans of the Fine Craft Collective\nGrow with the Guild in our Up Gallery an exhibition featuring artwork created by adult and youth students who have recently taken a Guild class.\n\n\n2018-19 Gallery Season sponsored by:

SUMMARY:A Christmas Story
DESCRIPTION:by Philip Grecian \nDecember 7-9 and December 13-16\, 2018 \nSet in the 1940s this comedy follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker in his quest to get a genuine Red Ryder BB gun under the tree for Christmas. Ralphie pleads his case before his mother\, his teacher and even Santa Claus himself\, at Higbee’s Department Store. The consistent response?? “You’ll shoot your eye out!” All the elements from the beloved motion picture are here\, including the family’s temperamental exploding furnace; the boys’ experiment with a wet tongue on a cold lamppost; the Little Orphan Annie decoder pin; Ralphie’s father winning a lamp shaped like a woman’s leg in a net stocking and everything needed to make your holidays hilarious.
