As skills develop\, students will explore a variety of decorative methods to personalize their work\, including carving\, texture\, slip application\, underglaze painting\, and glazing techniques. \nThroughout the course\, students will gain an understanding of the ceramic process from raw clay to finished piece\, including proper studio practices\, trimming\, and finishing. Emphasis is placed on creativity\, craftsmanship\, and building confidence at the potter’s wheel. No prior experience is required\, making this class an ideal class for all walks of clay.
