DIRECTING MASTER CLASS
NEW CLASS! Through fun discussion and hands-on practice, you’ll gain insight into directing for the theater – guiding actors and staging scenes. Additionally, you’ll discuss schedules, dramaturgy, casting, working with a production team and rehearsal techniques. You’ll work as both a director and an actor – with some work necessary between meetings. This master class is suitable for all levels, although theater experience is suggested. Age 16+. Instructor: Rachel Haider & Marc Robinson
OFF BOOK! THEATER WORKSHOP
NEW CLASS! No need to make excuse, no need to panic, and no need to make your director and cast mates nervous. Learn how to memorize lines like a pro! No matter what your acting style, no matter the playwright or the genre, memorization is THE fundamental skill that all actors must perfect. This workshop is being offered by request; in other words, you’re not alone! Be brave, boost your skills and learn how to get that crazy script out of your hands. Instructor: Rachel Haider
STAGE MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP
NEW CLASS! Stage managers are often the unsung hero of a play, acting like the rudder of a ship and helping a director steer the production towards opening night. In this workshop, you will gain practical experience from pre-production through performances and strike of a show. Learn how to support a productive rehearsal room and walk away with templates, tips, and tricks ready for you to use. Even if you are not a stage manager (yet!), this workshop will provide a well-rounded look at what it takes to make a play happen. Prior experience in theater is helpful but not required. Instructor: Jared Zeigler
STAGE MAKEUP WORKSHOP
NEW CLASS! Feeling lost at the makeup mirror? Come learn the basics of stage makeup and how to look your best under the stage lights. You’ll review application, tips to highlight your own features and proper removal. You’ll also have a chance to bump things up at the end with a more dramatic look. Conclude the workshop by learning proper makeup removal and head out the door with a list to create your own basic makeup kit. Instructor: Megan Proft
