Indigo Card Making

NEW CLASS! In this indigo card making class, you’ll use the ancient Japanese resist technique of Shibori. You’ll fold, clamp and manipulate paper in such a way that the indigo dye does not penetrate certain areas, leaving white designs on the beautiful indigo-dipped blue background. Once you’ve made the designs on the paper and dipped the bundles into the indigo, you’ll use these papers to make unique, one-of-a-kind greeting cards!

Out of these wool fibers, with added soap, warm water and agitation you create felt, the first fabric known to exist, before weaving came on the scene. Wet felting a small bowl is a perfect way to become acquainted with this extremely versatile medium.
