Wheel Throwing for Adults

The focus of this class is to introduce and practice the basics of wheel-throwing including, but not limited to, throwing cylinders, bowls and plates, trimming, and adding handles. Plus you’ll learn about glazes and glazing techniques to decorate your clay piece and have a spectacular finished piece!

Functional Ceramics with Soft Slabs Clay Workshop

NEW CLASS! Discover the skills and tips for successful use of the soft slab hand-building technique used to produce functional ceramics! In this hands-on workshop, Marion Angelica will teach you how to make two pieces that can serve as the base for many variations — coffee mug, oval bowl or serving dish. Along with creating these pieces, there will be a demonstration of handles and how to avoid/repair cracks. All materials are included.

Get a Handle (or Knob) On It! Clay Workshop

NEW CLASS! Handles and knobs make even the most traditional pieces personal and unique. You’ll learn how to make handles beyond the traditional pulled option, and knobs that add interest to boxes, lids or footed vessels, and are appropriate for hand-built or thrown pieces. You’ll begin by watching a demonstration of the different handles and knobs, then dive in hands-first to try the techniques yourself! All materials are included.
