Northfield is located along the beautiful Cannon River in Southeast Minnesota, just 40 miles south of the Twin Cities and 50 miles northwest of Rochester.  This historic town houses five galleries on main street, two art and music festivals each summer, an artist and farmers market every summer Saturday morning,  and both Carleton and St. Olaf colleges have galleries open to the public Northfield is surrounded by beautiful farmland, circled by bike trails, and is near Big Woods State Park. And don’t forget Northfield is known for the defeat of the Jesse James Gang, reenacted the second weekend of September each year, surrounded by 65 artists along the river.

The Northfield Arts Guild was founded in 1959 and operates in two historic buildings – our downtown headquarters at 304 Division Street and the Guild Theater at 411 West 3rd Street. Come see all of our 100 annual events or join in any of our weekly classes.
